This screenshot was in the /j/ leaks. I noticed the [VPN]. What measures do you take to guess whether an IP is a VPN? This feels like it could be an invasion of privacy. I'd like to hear from somebody who understands the code directly if possible, please.

probably just a public list online, i'd assume it's not very complex since 90% of the botspam IPs aren't detected as VPNs
this is just an indicator by the way, most of the time you should still be able to post from a VPN
